SLP vers. AS&M runners
SLP vers. AS&M runners
I noticed that AS&M siamesed runners are a short runner then the SLP ones....who here has these and which do you guys think is better?? I'm trying to limit low end torque and open up some upper RPM horses.
J?? any ideas??

Haven't used the ASM runners. I have used the SLP runners. IF you match the side opeinings of the plenum to the weird "dogbone" shape at the top of the siamesed SLP runners they actually work pretty well. If you just leave the stock 2-holes on the side of the plenum the results are disappointing in my expereince. If you look at the top opening of the SLP runners this will all instantly make sense.
I was thinking the same thing when I saw the siamesed runners for the first time....No one else had ever said anything about it before....I was gonna do it and evertime someone complained about runners not helping I was gonna tell em "Mine helped a bunch I don't know what your problem is."

i have dyno sheets showing what happened when going from stock runners, siamesed stock base, lt1 cam to siamesed SLP runners(i siamesed all the way around), edelbrock base and zz4 cam.

If you want top-end get a Holley StealthRam. They are designed with the tunnel-ram in mind...in other words...high rpm power! Here is a comparison between SLP and the Holley StealthRam:

If you want higher rpm power you should also consider an LT1 intake or a TPiS Stealth-Ram (pretty much the same thing. They are great for higher-rpm power with their veryyy short intake runners, but also have a decent amount of low-end. Good luck.
