slow windows

My windows seem to be getting slower and slower. Can this be the motors or do I need to lube up all the moving parts? Driverside is a little slower than the other. And forget if the engine not running.

You may need to grease the window rails. If not your window motor may be goin bad. You'll know when they start to get slower and slower as mine did. After that the windows would stop and you would have to wait for the window regulator to charge up. Then it would go back up again slowly. Windows usually go up quicker when the car motor is on.

Try using a silicon grease on all the tracks. and as you move the windows up and down watch the rollers to see if they are worn. The reason your drivers side is slower is because you probably use it more. Like say at a drive through.

Its a GM window motor problem. I had 4 new window motors in my 88' capprice for the driver window. Each time it worked for a while then got progressively slower. however, the motor only died once. I just tired of 30 seconds to put the window down
