Simple question...

I met a young fellow at the track yesterday and he had a '87 LT. What is the LT model?

I had a 1986 Camaro Sport with a 305 and 5-speed that I ordered and I thought sure it had fuel injection, but this young fellow said it had to be carb'd.

Any information would be appreciated.

i think the LT was a sport coupe with more options
to take place of the berlinetta, only without the digital stuff inside

That is actually what I was thinking too, but it was too long ago and I can't remember. I told this guy about the site. I hope he posts up here. Thanks for the response.

The 1987 Sport Coupe with the optional LT package was the successor to the 1982-86 Berlinetta. It carried over all the creature comforts as standard equipment, including the deluxe seats. The one item it did not carry over from the Berlinetta days was the "star wars" instrument cluster. The gold Berlinetta trim was essentially changed to silver on the LT. The LT was a one-year only option.

The only problem with the Berlinetta dash is all the electrical gremlins associated with it. I think that's why GM quit making them.
