Run it for a while and see what it does. If it doesn't do any good, stop. You figure it's only gonna be 3 or 4 dollars more per tank. You should notice a little performance difference.

I would run 87 and be done with it unless you have done some serious mods. For a stock car like that, 87 will be fine. If it pings, you have other issues.

What might be my problem if my car pings if I don't use 91?

That pinging you hear is what is known as detenation. You are probably running hotter than stock plugs, advanced your timing a lil bit and a few more things to make it go fast.
If you spent all that money trying to make it go fast, WHY on earth would you want to put the cheapest, lowest power making product into your car?
I know the price of Go Go juice is high and everyone is really tight right now. BUT come on you wouldn't buy a New York Prime Rib dinner and then put Katchup on it????
Spend the extra 5-15 cents a gallon and get something that your car will thank you for.

If it is stock and you need it you have other problems. Solve those problems first instead of throwing better gas that will mask the problem. I rather go with problem solving than problem masking.
