Should i pickup a 90 T/A for 500?

Guy wants 2K for a 78K{I believe} mile 90 5L Trans Am. Uncle spoke with him and can buy it for 500 dollars. Should i pick it up over a LT1 and just have some fun with it?

I would. Is it a T.P.I.? I would buy it either way and if it doesn't turn out to be what you want you can sell it for 2K if it has a good drivetrain and half decent paint.

for 500, buy it, if u can fix it up nice, turn around and sell it for 2k, if its not worth fixing up, beat the crap out of it till it dies, it'll be fun

Dude, ****** that sucker up!

Oh, and don't beat it up, fix it up.

FYI, there was only 1054 Trans Ams built in 1990. Once you start breaking down the built numbers for certain engine/transmission/color/option packages, you'll probably find that car is fairly rare.

and for $500 a trans am is worth it, especially since those 5.0s seem to never completely die, i had one that blew a head gasket and was pissin water into number 7 cylinder which bled its pressure into number 5, and 5 to 7, the thing still drove just fine, lol. and it's final day in the car pulled a flat 17 quarter with it's 150 hp

Not to mention that if you are unhappy with it, you can make your 500 dollars back and some by parting the car out.
