Just jack up the front and put it on jack stands, put a floor jack under the a-arm to support it, unbolt the strut from the spindle and unbolt the strut from the strut tower and pull it off.

Now, what about alignment? Will you shift it since you are taking the strut out?
I didn't need to do it on mine or my friends, but I guess it would'n't hurt to get the car re-aligned.
nothing is moved when changing the struts, the strut plate doesn't get touched when doing the swap.
I actually had to swap the pass side strut and spindle on my formula with my T/A since the bolts were totally frozen, couldn't get them to budge at all. 2 hour job took 9 hours.
