Re: Shift Light Question

should be able to just connect it to the tach output wire on the coil.

for the 3rd gen i'm not positive which one it is. try giving the manufacturer a call.

or install an MSD box and get one that plugs into that, while boosting your spark at the same time

edit:

wait wait....what the fk do you need a shift light for your AUTO for? just let the tranny do the work

Re: Shift Light Question

the tach output wire is the WHITE wire on the coil.

Re: Shift Light Question

Almost all 3rd gens have a stock shift light located in the dash one of the lower cutosey lights by the guages is an orange shift light.. I'm gonna use a MSD window box and a light socket and make the shift light usuable.. I have an automatic aswell, but I have had alot of work done to it.. I just want the light for asthetics.. and maybe a warning before I over rev..

ive had my dash apart and in the automatic cars there isnt a bulb in the shift light from the factory, they were only put in manual cars as far as i know. i wouldnt just stick a bulb in it b/c its not going to come on at the right time i dont think.
