Shift bulb by the shifter

I know this isnt engine tech but I dont know where else this would fit. I have a 92' Pontiac Firebird and right below the shifter it has a little guide to show you where the gears are. Under that under the console it is actually a bulb that would make this light up. Anyone know where I can get this bulb? Its a weird looking bulb. Almost like an LED that is soldered to a piece of plastic. Its nothing important but i think it would look cool glowing.

Isn't that a simple 194 bulb? Try take the bulb out carefully by pulling on the glass part holding on to the plastic part. AFAIK, I have changed it before so it is definately replacable.

the socket might be partly melted, but IIRC, it is a 194

If its the same bulb im thinking of, you can use a small peice of vacuum tubing to slide over the bulb and pull it out if it gives you any trouble.

Worst case scenario, go to a JY and try find a piece like it and solder the wires back.

bulb size

I have a 1988 firebird and if your are talking about the gear indicator bulb it is a number 37 very small and can be found at walmart or autozone.
