SFC's and Headers
SFC's and Headers
I just put in my new engine with some SLP 1 3/4th headers, 3 inch Y pipe.. and full 3 inch exhaust... i have not yet installed my Spohn SFC's though.. It doesn't look like there is much room for them now with the headers and welded up to the catback.. Has anyone had an issue with this? I hope i am just wrong and the SFC's will fit fine. TIA.
I have The SLP 1 3/4 Headers, 3" Catco Cat and 3" SLP Exhaust system with the Spohn (tube type) SFC's welded in. The only modification was the heat shield had to be removed for clearance
on the passenger side. That fix was noted in the instructions from Spohn. Otherwise everthing went in and did what it was supposed to do "tightened the car up".
Hope this info helps.

Most SFC's come really close to that Y Pipe area. Worst case is that you end up heating the Y pipe up a "little" with a few torches and "getting" it to work
I have rectangular tube SFC's and I'm guessing they're a bit wider than the round tubing of the Spohn SFCs and they touched in one small area so I warped them slightly with my proven torch method. clearance now it 1/4" roughly so I moved the metal a good amount. Goodluck.
