seems like car is running rich

I have a '86 IROC 305 auto and when I start it the engine runs ruff for a second or two and then runs fine .
it did this once in a while but is becoming more often .
ANY IDEAS ?

When was the last time you did a tune up?
That would be the first thing I would do. It can only help.
