they might mean valve seals. that just means it will smoke blue on start up.
they are cheap to buy...but replacing them is a PITA.

They might mean you need t re ring the pistons too. Ask them if its burniong oil, and do a compresion test.

new exhaust from catalytic back. Needs o-rings.
He means you need o-rings for the new exhaust. Many systems use o rings between the exhaust flanges. Not be bashing but valve seals and pistons rings dont come close to resemble an o ring.

a piston ring, is a circular or "o" shaped ring. Not normally when it meant by the word "o- ring" but to say it doesnt even come close isnt fair.

Yea true , i guess piston rings could resemble o-rings. Let me give you an example of stuff like that going wrong before. In shop class some stupid ricer was like why is my huge fart can rattling. We were like hey dude u need new exhaust bearings. Lol, he actually belived us. His other problem was that his blinker was lazy. We told him that his blinker fluid was low. So he went to the shop teacher and said he needed to order new exhaust bearings and get some blinker fluid. My teacher laughed and said leave my class. The next day we were working on a car and he was like this bolt is too short. We were like go and get the bolt stretcher. He went to the teacher and asked for a bolt stretcher. We were just having a feild day with this kid. The teacher wigged out and said if he doesnt gain common sense hes out of the class. This is why it buggs me to hear things called the wrong name. O well have a laugh at my story.
