Rollor Rockers
Rollor Rockers
Im thinking about getting a set of rr for my 305. I still have the tbi heads and cam and was wondering what ratio would work best with them without having to worry about clearance problems.
Also I can move these to a 350 later without any problems right?

The stock ones are stamped steel 1.5s so going to roller 1.5s is only going to remove some friction from the valvetrain and while that is good, adding some lift to the cam while doing that would be even better. So a set of 1.6 roller rockers would be the way to go.
The Comp Cam Pro Magnum rockers are excellent pieces. Definately the best that I have used/worked with. They require trimming the valve covers a little bit to get them to work, but it is very easy to do and well worth the tiny bit of trouble to get them in. Plus they are rebuildable

91 cars have centerbolt valve covers. I used the Crane Gold narrow body ones that are 1.6 ratio with OEM valve covers and AFR heads. I had to trim down the centerbolt bolts but everything else was fine. No adjustment of the valve covers.
aklim, you liked the golds? Im probably either going to go with those or the comp's over the summer. I did a search on thirdgen and some of those guys had problems, but the guys at summit highly recommended them.

that's because they are trying to sell them
but seriously tho, those and the pro mag's are probably the best on the market right now. you could go either way and be satisfied! good luck man.
