roller lifters????
Seeing as how old your car might be and you are changing a cam, why not just get a new set of lifters that are aftermarket? I don't really know of a limit of the stock lifters but if I was changing cams in a car that had stock lifters, I would certainly get a new set unless I just put that set in 20K miles ago

not looking to run a very big cam
Retro rollers are a little spendy so if you are going to change the block then get a roller block. If not, change to the retro lifters. If you are not running something severe, I don't see why there should be a question as to whether the rollers will hold or not.
