lol i did it but i backed away fast as hell because i knew it was going to gush out like it did
i put new coolant in the car and the damn car died on me at the gas station. it started to bog a lil right when i pulled in so i turned it off to put gas, and when i tried to turn it on, it would click, but it wouldn't start. had to jump start it again, lol. i think its got to do with my battery and my radiator... cuz why else would i over heat? im totally lost here... maybe someone can help me, lol

Aside from a possible bad water pump or thermostat, you may want to take your car to a radiator shop to professionally flush the engine and radiator. It's to get all of the hidden junk out of the entire cooling system.
i flushed it and now it's doing fine
i think it helped though that i rigged the 2nd fan to turn on when i start the engine
if you think about it... what does a fan cost? not that much... so if it goes bad, i'll just replace it. it's better than having to buy a new radiator cuz the damn thing overheated

use the radiator drain at the bottom to get all the fluid out of the radiator and then disconect the hose at the bottom of the radiator and stick your garden hose in to flush out ALL the crap and rust and you might even find sand from when the engine was cast it will come out of the radiator when it comes out clear then your good to go. and dont forget to fill it back up eith coolant then your really good to go.
I have used the Prestone heavy duty stuff that works well. It comes in a can. You open one end and it is the acid wash and the other is the neutralizer. You first flush all the coolant out of the radiator which is easy to do this time of the year and drive it for an hour. Flush and neutralize. Drive it for a bit, flush refill with coolant.
