Question about T.V. cable bracket on carb'd engine

I've got a carb'd 355 with a holley double pumper and a 700R4
I'm concerned that the bracket I have on there now isnt the right one, I dont think the TV cable is adjusted right (though i did it exactly how it said in the haynes manual, and it didnt "rachet" or move at all). What bracket do I need for the TV cable? Thanks

Yeah, my nephew burned up his 700 when he installed an edelbrock in place of the qjet. THEN he bought the correct bracket. A few companies make the bracket you need, check to see if one of these works for you:

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

41 bucks is a lot for a little bracket, but the other one is only 29, a LOT better.
Thanks!!!!!!!

Re: Question about T.V. cable bracket on carb'd engine

I've had good luck getting cheap ($19) Spectre chrome adjustable throttle/kickdown cable brackets to work with just about any combination of throttle/TV/kickdown cables you can name. I just used one on my wife's 92 Camaro when I converted it over to a Holley carb setup in place of the original TBI fuel injection. It's still using the stock cables.

Available anywhere cheap chrome parts are sold! (Pep Boys, local speed shops, etc.)

Re: Question about T.V. cable bracket on carb'd engine

I haven't adjusted the TV cable yet, but I have a cheap chrome adjutable from autozone on my car. I had to cut a piece off of it to get it to bolt to the carb base though.

FWIW - I have a performer with a non-CC Q-jet.
