Q about bumper cover

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2444697593

so the only difference i could see from that and the newer bumper covers was that the tabs to hold in the grill are diferent...the one pictured looks like a 82-84. besides that...are there any differences between the 82-84 and the 85-92 Z28 bumper covers?

yea,go to my website www.ricekilliniroc.cz28.com. the pics arent very clear, but my car is an 87 and there are some pics where u can see the nose. the link buttom on the page for more pictures is top left, its a little hard to see,but should help u out some.i think the Z's are actually a little bit bigger in size. maybe sticks out farther in the front and taller (bottom to top).

im not sure how much that guy will want for the nose piece, but the looks of the very front of it doesnt look like its worth more than 20 bux lol. and thats INCLUDING shipping.

There are many different subtle changes over the years. I've tried to go cheap and make different model year stuff fit. I always wish I hadn't tried.

Just one thing off the top of my head..... the attachment points for the chin spoiler are different, too (earlier 3rd gens had dfferent chin spoilers than later ones).

Get the correct year cover. Don't try to play mix-n-match.

if you stick with 82-84, 85-90, and 91-92 you should have no problems, 85-90 and 91-92 will fit the same but you may have to drill a few new mounting holes.

thats not a 1990 berlinetta cover. berlinettas were stopped in 86
last year produced. and the signal lighta on that cover are the old 82-84 style. id say that cover is an 82-84 z28 cover without the gfx
