putting old stlyle heads with my Tpi

I have old stlye bolt pattern heads that I want to hook my TPI up to, I know it can be done but I'm not sure how much somthing like that would cost. I would go with new style heads except they don't make a head with big enough valves or enough clearance for my cam. So if you have ever done this please let me know about how much it will cost.

The bolt holes just at the wrong angle on the manifold. It wouldn't be hard for a machine shop to trim the boses down and straighten out the holes.

or get the intake base from a 85 f-body or late 80s vette w/aluminum heads, these all used the old style bolt angles

Re: putting old stlyle heads with my Tpi

I pulled the motor out of an 87 trans am, don't really want the motor just the tpi, but I don't know if the motor is a 305 or a 350, the casting numbers are gone, the blocks been decked. It has a small balancer on it so I would guess its a 305, but I guess I'll have to pull a head to be sure. Seems how the motor has been rebuilt and is in running condition I am almost tempted to throw it in my camaro just to see what it will do. But I think I'll wait to blow the motor thats in it first. Then I'll build my 377

the casting number should still be there, look at the bellhousing flange, it should have the size cast right into the drivers side, 5.0L=305, 5.7L=350

the stamping number is probably gone after decking, but not the casting number
