Pulley Queston

Does anyone besides March make underdrive pullies for 3rd gen L98's. I am just trying to kick around some optons.

Keep kicking the idea around, unless you want problems using underdrive pullies on a street car.

jet makes a good power pulley dynoed at 17hp and 13 pds of tourque. slayer please dont get mad im say it friendly!!!!

I saw that BBK did also but I did not know Jet did either. As for charging problems were these in automatis or manual cars?

i never had any problems with charging (except when i turned my cooling fans on with a manual switch...but that's alot of power draw).

doesn't ASP make pullies...maybe that's only 4th gens...

If you want pulleys get the March "Power & Amp" pulleys. It's an underdrive crank pulley and an OVERdrive alternator pulley. This slows down all the other accessories while keeping the alternator up to speed.

Don't trust the "dyno proven" numbers....repeatability on a regular chassis dyno is terrible. I've seen back-to-back runs with no changes vary by as much as 15hp. Pulleys are NOT going to net you 17hp. I'd expect 5 at the flywheel tops.

I also found that TPIS offers them with a belt to boot!! Did you feel a SOTP difference?

I noticed that the enginge reved a little faster, but I also did an aluminum driveshaft at the same time.
