Project T/A: Cleaning the fuel tank.

Alright. I've got spark and compression, and the car wont start, so Im assuming is a fuel problem. The car has sat for 7 yrs so this was expected. Now, I need to clean the fuel tank but removing it is...a project in and of itself it seems. Is there a way to clean the fuel tank w/o removing it? Some way to flush it out. Much help is appreciated.

Only good way to clean it would be to take it out. Might be a good time to swap in a plastic LS1 tank and a good fuel pump.

Car sat for 7 years man thats along time I hope it still has lowmilage. Make sure you change the break fluid it in too I am sure it has collected alot of water in 7 years. matter of fact I think I would change all the fluids motor, trans, cooling,etc.... Good luck on it you can also use a squirt bottle and shot some fuel into the intake just to make sure it will still run.

Good luck on it!

You go thru all that hassel to clean it and for what? Change the tank and pump and sender and go on for another 10 years or so.
