project hate me

FYI - I know a lot of you don't want to hear this, but the magazine Engine Masters from the editors of Popular HotRodding published a build this month for 305's. Appearantly they spent under $1,000 and built a streetable 370+HP 305 and did it with mostly head power. I bought the magazine as soon as I saw the first page! Later I learned the whole thing is already on the internet.

Don't believe me then check it out: http://www.popularhotrodding.com/eng...rs/toc/em_toc/

The whole article isn't on the web yet ... I mean they have to sell magazines first, right?

My engine is fine, but man oh' man ... this brings up a whole 'nother avenue of approach. Just like they name the project "Hate Me", please don't for bringing this up.

They also comment on how much Hg it has so you can ... whatever, I am still new at this whole engine building thing so I won't act like I know what that part means.

I'd like to see how they did this. Please post again when there is an actual link to the article.

Did I miss something? What's this have to do with the 305 build up?

A 305 is still a small block Chevy engine, so yes you can make lots of power with it. The point we 305-haters try to make is that for a comparable amount of money, you can make more power with a 350.
