Post Please help, im confounded.

I keep getting this damn code 43 **** and its really making me angry, but i think its a small part of the whole problem. I seem to have three, possibly related, problems.
#1. SOMETIMES the car wont start. I can hold it with gas, but it wont idle. If I hold it for a minute, and restart, everything is fine. No light.
#2. The car knocks, audibly, on occasion. Most often when giving it gas at low RPM (1500ish) in OD and also at around 3000 when getting frisky. No light. I hear it, and get the hell off the gas. I use 93.
#3. The light. I punch it from about 25mph and when it hits 3000-3500 rpm the light comes on. Code 43. Power gone (tire roast test, not too noticable otherwise but real power loss). I rev the car in neutral to 5000, light goes off, power still gone. Im left clueless.

It also has a tendency to backfire at low rpms, usually when the engine is cold, but I doubt this is unsusal.

I dont know if these problems are related or not, but i surely have no clue whats going on except that it isint right. I have access to a scanner computer if need be. Please help me.

Code 43 is apparently a timing related code, or a signal that a sensor is going.

43 ESC control failure, spark retard too long
43 TPS out of adjustment
43 Knock sensor signal
43 Front oxygen sensor rich error (Cadillac MFI)

I'll paste all of the codes here and you copy them into a text document for future reference

this sounds like possibly 3 things. The ignition timing could be ****ed. You could have a vaccum leak (probably not), or you have a valve train problem (jumped gear on timing chain, or else valve not seating properly) Because it backfires it is making me think it is a valve problem but I don't know what you have for exhaust.

Im tending to think that it isin't valvetrain related, because when it isint doing any of those things, it runs perfectly. How can i check the injectors and knock sensor on the snap on scanner, what am i looking for?
