I have a griffen universal 31x19 from jegs and it just slid right in even with a/c.. I used parts of an old mouse pad to replace the lower rubber mounts and had to cut the upper shroud (was updated to a tpi shroud) to fit the bigger radiator. There was no custom fab other than plastic cutting involved, even though the radiator looked to big to fit..

Have you tried to test fit it? My only guess would be that the jegs universal is slightly bigger somehow, in which case I would return it and get the griffen from them instead.. mine has no trouble cooling 370+ rwhp on the hottest of days.

i havnt tried test fitting it, and the lower mounts are somewhere on the old radiator i believe, it was a V6 so i dont know if that would make any difference or not.

Yeah, that was me.

I created my own radiator mounts out of industrial closed cell neoprene, then glued them in place onto the radiator tray.
Let's see, you could do the same thing with a mouse pad: Cut into strips, then glue together with contact cement or 3M trim adhesive. The radiator will rest in the cradle that you create. Mine has been in place since April 2000, and seven years later, there is no corrosion or wear on the aluminum Griffen radiator.

You dont need a machine shop, just an old neoprene mouse pad, some glue, and some scissors! You need three layers, about one inch wide and four inches long. THe first two layers are four inches long, and the third layer is cut into two one-inch tabs, glued onto each end to form a shallow "U". The radiator then sits on top, and the top radiator shroud encapsulates the whole thing to keep it from moving around.
