parts

Well i didn't mean to make a new post, but im a newb, sorry

Well if you missed my last post, im trying to build up a 350 TPI system.I just need a general idea on what im building and part costs before i get myself into this.

Anyways..... I found a complete Holley Stealth RAm MPFI kit from www.summitracing.com designed to handle 385-480 horsepower, including 30 pph injectors(im thinking throttle body is included, but it didn't say, it costs$2,281 though). I guess i'll just buy the heads separate. Also found a holley adjustable fuel injection regulator(from 35-65 psi) for $135.95. I've heard vortec heads are nice, but can they handle close to 500 horsepower??MAybe with a port and polish?? Any more suggestions??

thanks,
TIm89Rs

Stealthram--about $600 for everything. You're looking at the wrong kit. The HSR unpolished is $300, fuel lines are 200 and little fittings and stuff. You're looking at the kit for installing it into a hot rod or something.

Vortecs can't be mated to a HSR without machine work, I'm not even sure it can be done then. Check out Pro Toplines, they're cheap and good flowing heads. That's if you are on a budget, if not, get some AFR 190/195.

Don't forget about a cam too (CC305's work well in these apps).

Stealthram- 300
Fuel lines- 200
Fittings/Hoses- 100
Injectors- 200??
AFR 190's- 1200
Cam- 200
Gaskets/Machine Work/little stuff etc-500
Custom PROM 3-400???

So around 3k for a solid 12sec 3rd gen.

no, the stealth ram will not fit on the vortech heads at all that i'm aware of. i used the cc305 cam, afr 195's with bowl job, and 26lb injectors with 52mm tb. made around 400 rwhp consistantly. about the same in torque.

Best bet would be to use just the HSR manifold. The whole setup can be had for ~$600 bucks. The one for $2k+ includes a fuel pump and a stand alone, programmable computer. Basically, get the manifold and use a stock TPI computer with a custom chip. As far as heads go, the 200cc Protoplines work well, AFR 195's are also good, or Dart iron heads are also good.
