Park safety switch wires

What color are they? A friend of mine is having an intermittent no-start problem and I think this may be the cause. Which wires should have continuity in Park/Neutral?

im glad to finally help someone with an answer instead of just asking questions

i just had to deal with these wires because i put in a megashifter

they should be yellow and purple and they can also be distinguished by the fact that they are a thicker gauge wire then the rest

Emergency fix for future reference: my 89 Formula wouldn't start after work one day. So I figured it was either starter/solenoid or NS switch. Couldn't fix starter in the parking lot, so only choice was to try the NS bypass.

NS has a connector with large diameter wires. That is the start circuit. Other connector is for lights. I took a piece of a large paper clip and bent it into a U and bridged the wires at the start connector. Covered with tape for insulation. Fired up car, drove home, installed new NS switch that weekend.

Better than a towing bill.
