Painless wiring questions
Painless wiring questions
I am using all the TPI goodies out of an 86 TA for a fuel injection transplant. The wiring harness from Painless Wiring has a long connector labeled MAF relay. I don't have anything to plug into this. Painless, says some cars use it and some don't. So now I don't know if I left the relay on the donor car or if the donor never had it. Is there anyway that I would be able to determine what cars use it and what ones don't ? Any help would be appreciated!!!
Re: Painless wiring questions
go to any parts store like autozone and ask them to look it up
first look up relays for an 86 t/a and the should ask yo what the relay is for, the nmes may be misleading so just listen to what relays hey have listed for the car see if anyone of them could be it
then look for relays of whatever year make and model your car is, and search for it with the tpi motor (if applicable, dont be fooled by the tbi motor) and see if that has a maf relay
also keep in mind 91-92 cars use speed density and dot have a mass air flow sensor, therefore no relay
