ok this TBI = No performance
Yeah I Hate hearing people say TBI = no performance.
i've built a few awsome TBI engine's.
406TBI Meterail list:
1-forged crank large journal 8-sd forged 30over Keith black pistons, 8-sd forged rods, 8-sets of moly50/50 titanium rings, titanium bearing set: main rod cam, titanium gear drive set, stainless steal valve‘s.
406TBI Specs:
400Sbc .030pver bore, 10.5:1,292dur.575lift,Dart head’s, ported & polished, 2-400cfm TBI setup.
406TBI Dyno:
540hp@6500rpm
620ftlbtorque@5,000rpm.

Do you have pictures of this TBI engine? You mention "TWO" TBI units flowing 400cfm each, and of course that would make sense. A single TBI unit with two injectors is NOT going to flow enough fuel or air to make 500 horsepower. It barely has enough for 250 horsepower.

we used the Holley comander 950 computer.
the Hardest Part was Building the adaptor's to get the TB's to mount on the eddie 4x2 intake,But you could say i got my 1" spacer's done LoL.
i do have the injector spacer's as well.
so there prolly mor like 475 cfm each.
so 475cfm+475cfm=950CFM. witch should more then plenty "suport" the 540hp.........

and i am more then plenty sure this 91 GTA Ramair2 will walk L-98's LT-1's and LS-1's.LS-6 ain't got nothing on me....
Just can't wait till summer whipping and LS-1 T/A then popping my hood and showing he lost to a "TBI" small block

I do have my doubt's on the torque tho 620TQ seem's a bit high it's prolly only 520- 560 FTLB TQ but still more then plenty.
but we will find out when it go's in the 91GTA.

Have Ran car's on a g-tech be fore not really trusting the reading's cause my 87 GTA L-98 should run 14.80's stock as i am told but according to G-tech it's only running 16.11's.
But the 91GTA on G-tech with a 350TBI,700R4,3.73 gear's ran 14.80's.
it was stock 350 tbi with 190,200miles and the 700r4 tho only had suposedly had 80,000miles,3.73 gear's had all 2,000miles.
it ran: 14.86@95.78Mph ( G-Tech ).I'm Hoping with avaerage third gen traction and street condition's
with the 406TBI it run's in the 12.40's.
But i'd be happy even if it only hit the 13.20's........
i am told by my power with good grip it should run mid to low 11's. From the local guy's.

Dyno: claim's the 406TBI has
540hp & 620TQ at fly wheel.
I wish it was at the wheel's.

good to know some out there have made good power with tbi, at least as long as ive been a member the drift was that tbi sucked and to stay away from it. that opens alot more options now for my next fbod, which must have t-tops and a v8

I'm hoping it will run like 11.80's at union grove drag way,and like 12.40's on the street cruzin the Avenue/strip.
It's got a 4 core radiator for my trany cooling line's i ran a splitter and so the C-4500's tran's cooler is hook up as well as the radaitor's so am sure my beefy 700R4 will hold the load for the longest of all the 700r4's.
Cool tranny = solid shift's.
Car has T-top's so now i am going to conect the sub frame's so i have a ok solid body and i'll prolly never remove thr T-top's well driving it unless i am sure it will hold up.
I'm going to run the 2.5" true daul exhaust set up on it.
But with this setup i can only run my conector's front to rear I can use the "X" Looking setup withc is the strongest But oh well.

what if i drop the Front and rear section's of frame out and Duplcate them exactly sept the Rail's continue front so back.
where it would set just how it dose now But instead fo welding steal to each secetion what i would have welded on is ther all as one solid peice.???????

91 GTA Ramair2 Did you have this motor dynoed? or is the power #'s just the machine shop guessing what it will make
1994B4C 94mph sounds dead on for the mid 7's in a full weitght f-body. to run 6.90's you will have to have atleast 99mph.
