Hi..I was wondering what this hole is for. Its located on the passenger side right by where the starter mounts to the motor. Its right next to the oil dipstick and is about the same diameter as the oil dipstick hole. Thx all of you for your input.

 

Is it threaded? There is a starter mount bracket hole in that area.

 

Just above the oilpan, between the starter and the motor mount? That's the knock sensor location. It penetrates into the water jackets at the bottom of the block...best place in the world to drain the coolant from your motor.

I don't know of any oil gallery ports on the pass. side of the block.
