O2 sensor came out while I was driving...

well, i wasn't really driving... i was raping one of those little srt-4's, and all of a sudden i hear this sound comming from my car that sounds like something was dragging on the street. i pulled over and saw that it was my o2 sensor - it had come off from the bung-hole (lol) and dragged on the floor for a little. when i parked, i parked in a place that a car had previously parked and the o2 sensor sat in a little water. i put it back on after the car cooled down, and the car started up weird but got itself together after a few seconds. here's my question... i dont know if i damaged the o2 sensor or not. how would i know if the o2 sensor is damaged? my car seems to be running good, but im sure dragging it on the street for about a minute and then setting it in a nice little puddle of water didn't do it any good. is there any way for me to test it to see if it's damaged? thanks guys

lol that sucks. I would probably replace it though. Atleast it came out easy though some of them are a pain in the *** to get out. wast there a lot of buildup on it?

lol, it just popped out... i guess it wasnt in there right enough. it doesnt have any build up on it, but i still think that it recieved some damage when it was being dragged on the street for a little while... i dunno, maybe i was lucky and it isnt broken because it seems to be running just fine. yo chris, where've you been man? IM me on aim sometime. laterz
