If they are anything like the BFG`s not hard is what I`d say I`m barely squeaking out 1.6 sixty`s with 255 50 16`s BFG`s and that`s with a lot of tire spin through first and some into second

nothing like a fat motor in a third gen! I like that 84 you`ve got!!

Mine`s an 85 have a look:: http://members.cardomain.com/greezemonkey

Drag radial class guys have gone mid 8s on a BFG 325/50/15 DR. Hooking up is all about chassis tuning.

DR class is now in the 7's. new record was made less than 2 weeks ago in Florida I believe.

Almost... NMRA's Big Daddy (in non-legal trim) went 8.0?@181 While the tires support the power, it's still not a legal record. BFG's sponsored class rules don't allow for the setup he ran. It was just a one time run to see just how fast he could go on the tires regardless of class rules. There are several guys within a couple tenths of 7s, but no one, legal or not, has run a 7 second time yet. They will this year though I'd bet on it.

Back on topic: Nitto's are considered more of a street friendly drag radial than the BFGs. Unlike the BFG, you can actually safely drive on the street with them. BFG tires will yield less mileage and will hook better, no arguements about that. However, if you're in the market for a drag radial, and need extreme traction, check out Mickey Thompson's new line. They are rumored to be better than and "should" be better than the other makes. I love my Nittos personally. But I'm only making half the power you intend to...
