newbi saying hi

hi my name is craig i have a 86 iroc z it had a 305 in it but the kid who had it be for me bent the connecting rod i have a pic of it when i swaped the motor with a 1970 350 2 bolt main i put a comp cam in it 500 lift and 1969 327 1.94 1.5 heads with roller rockers edd intake man holly 650 carb i going to be swaping the motor again because i smoked one of the rings at the dragway i got a newer 350 4 bolt main short block from gm i am going to take all my top end off and the cam and put it on the new motor my plans for the car are to get frame rails and a vortec supercharger new rear end gears 373 and a 4in cowl i am a grad from manchester school tec in auto i also have 4 other friends with 3 gens two 91 rs 305 and a 4 gen with a v6 ill tell them about the site see if thay will join ill try to get the pics of my car on the site and mabe theres

Welcome! Sounds like a fun setup for the new engine. A Vortec blower would be fun but I'd would be sure to build the new engine to achieve a lower compression ratio since it has iron heads and it sounds like this is a daily driven pump gas combo. Going to aluminum heads, a dedicated blower camshaft, and forged pistons would get you into a safer zone. I'd do a 750 or 850 carb also on a Vic Jr. intake but thats me giving my opinion when it wasn't asked for.

ya i guess i win the award for longest sentance i dont like to put the dot my car is a daily driver as far as the heads i would love them but im to afraid of my cars heating issues i have no computer in the car so i had the fan on a switch i also have tranny issues (slipping) hi end my friend with his grand national told me some tricks to get the lock im trying to get the pics on soon of my car and the racecar
