New Home for 350 TPI

Well, I'm going to look at an S10 in the morning after work. The body and interior seem to be in decent shape and the truck actually runs. Looks like the drivetrain from my GTA (350 TPI/700 R4) may be getting a new home. Anyone know of any other parts that I can take off the car and put on the truck?

I haven't picked it up yet. Going to test drive it after I get off work in the morning.

I was going to try to find the rearend out of a 4x4 blazer from 94+. They are pretty strong (had one in my last S10 with a 406 and it survived till I sold it) and are slightly wider so I can run wider wheels in the back and have them tuck under the fenders.

Sounds good, other than the harness which Im sure you had already thought to include anyway I cant think of any other parts to pull off. The GTA brakes may be an upgrade I suppose.

I'm thinking the front rotors may swap over. I've got drilled and slotted rotors on the GTA. I've still got the Painless TPI wiring harness that I never put on the car. Brand spankin new and still in the box. Now I just have to remember where I left the instruction manual.

I'll probably go ahead and swipe the driveshaft while I'm at it, and the cooling system. The stock S10 driveshaft is dinky, one good romp would probably snap it like a twig.

Anyone need an 87 GTA body for a project car? Extra set of front fenders and rear hatch. Nose from a 91 bird. Make offer.

Good luck Chris, haha. Roy from FBodyMotorsports came and picked up my GTA last weekend. I just gave it to him for free.

Is that L98 stock?

It's slightly modified. Ported TPI setup, ported iron heads, LT4 hot cam and around 10:1 compression. Total run time... about 10 seconds. I'm going to pull it apart as well as the tranny and make sure there's no rust or anything in there. Probably go ahead and replace all the bearings.
