hey,i'm the new guy,so if this is in the wrong spot please move it.i need some block number help.i've been to mortec and others and have came up with some info.i was told by the guy i got it from it was out of a camaro.here's some block #. on the ledge by bell housing gm 5.7 lg sgi.i know that means 350.also 14093638 which says 87 thru 94 350,but not for sure a camaro.also h010,which i think is date code 1990?did they make camaro 350 in 90?on ledge under alternator is vh314954?.this is now in a sweet 79 swb lowrider. thanks for any help

Is the engine carb'd, tpi or tbi? I think there was a tpi 350 in 1990 and everything else that would have came in a camaro would have been a 305 lg4(carb) or tbi 305. If the engine isn't tpi its probrobly not from a camaro unless they converted to a carb setup. Keep in mind that a 350 block is a 350 block no matter what it came from. Just because its from a camaro doesn't mean it has more power. Just like some people with l98's, lt1's and ls1's like to say yeah its got a corvette engine!! NO.. it has a camaro engine that happens to be the same engine as a vette. Anyways goodluck and I hope someone can verify the #'s for you.

thanks,it's carbed,someone stuck a tpi converted into it.the truck was a diesel from the factory.i just want to know what it is its got 87-94 cast iron heads with center bolt vave covers.because i tried to find an edelbrock endurashine for it.which they don't make or even plan to make in 07.it's just one of those things everybody likes to know what they got.
