Just pop the rubber off the first two tab and cut next to the third and your done ,maybe 5min. and it does help.

I don't know what you have for a water pump but you could try a high flow one from edelbrock. They are kind of pricy but it sounds like you have spent some money on this beast what's a couple hundred more. Good luck and make sure you get that air dam on if it isn't already.

I recommend a Edelbrock water pump.... I had those cheapo auto parts pumps on my SBC for years... I stepped up to a edelbrock for 140.00 bones... and lost about 15 degrees and haven't changed a pump in 5 yearrs!!!!!!!

best 140.00 I spent.

I even switch to LT-1 electric fans afterwards and it made no impact... I can idle all day at 185-190 in traffic.
