Need some advice
I bought a 1984 z28 camaro, silver bullet edition, t tops, spent 1400 fixing the engine. It ran fine for a yr. No problems, slight oil leak. It wasn' bad, just a couple of drops here and there.
I took it for an oil change and drove it 2 miles home without an issue. Went on a vacation for 2 weeks to Vegas, came home and it drove fine from my house to work (less then 1/4 mile away) a few times. No problems, never had more then a drop of oil on the driveway. Then I took it on the highway doing 65, and seized a value.
I had it towed to a ase mechanic shop that fixed my car, and they opened my valve covers and said there was no lube in it, and I had 3 quarts of oil.
It' a 305, 5.L with only 60k original miles. It takes the big black oil filter. Midekie did the 20 buck oil change.
basicly I need a new engine. How do I go about this any ideas? Meaning they should fix or get me a new engine right? It has 7 miles on it since the oil change. The sticker is still on my windshield

Re: Need some advice
I have a friend who got his oil changed at a Walmart years ago in his truck. They drained the oil but “forgot” to put oil back in. The engine seized and he went back to the Walmart with receipts and proof. Walmart sent his truck to the dealership I work at to have a new engine put in. Moral of the story is, YES. If they truly did cause it then they should be the one to pay for a new engine.
