need a lil math help here

ok me and my wife purchased this 1987 z28 about a month ago from a local dealer. first time i drove it i knew if had to have been worked on. the engine has had work and it has a new transmission and rear-end. unfortunately i don't know what has been done but i do know from driving other 3rd gen z28's it defintely has more hp then the others. the vin says it has a 5.7 liter tpi. the nearest dyno is in memphis tn which is roughly 3 hrs from my house and nearest track is over an hour so me and my wife did some timing on the car and due to the fact of not haveing a 1/4 or 1/8 marked out it is in tenths but i did 0-60 in 5.5 sec and i did 2/10's in 8.5 @ 85 mph so is there a formula to figure hp or am i SoL and just have to sit here wondering?? i would kinda like to know what i am looking at for wether i want to do more to the engine or leave it alone (though it already scares the crap out of me on damper days"

true....but it is nice to know can you figure it of the 1/8 mile tracks? we have one about 1.5 hrs from here will be much more accurate i am sure no human error on clicking the stopwatch.
