Need information about 1983 Z28 350 (not 305) Cross Fire Fuel Injt factory option

Would like to find information regarding my 1983 Z28 with original 350 V8 Cross Fire Fuel Injection with fiber glass hood and functional air vents, 4 speed Automatic transmission, Disk brake Posi rear end. All the literature I’ve read says that only a 305 was available in the Z28 yet when I checked the serial number of the car with the Chevrolet factory they told me the serial number was for a 350 cubic inch engine like those installed on the corvettes of that year. Did the person I spoke to at the factory make a mistake about this option or could it be one of those rare situations where they ran out of 305 engines and put a 350 corvette engine in this one. The person apparently told me that according to the serial number of the car that it had to have this engine. Since I haven’t seen any literature, is there any truth to this? Please Email Information: sgtpeppersgrove@juno.com

GM would have Never but the L93s in the Camaros. Since 1984 was going to be the last year of the Crossfire in ANY of its cars.

If you run the Vin at www.Thirdgen.org you will find out what you already know.

The person at GM was not sure what you had. Next time Go to the 5th gen area & look up Red Planet he can tell you almost for sure.

Yeah, just to confirm what you found, and what everyone is saying, I don't think they ever put the 350 CFI motor in anything except the Vette. F-bodies got the smaller 305 CFI only.
