hi i just threw a cam in our shop its a 12-600-8 comp cam.. it doesnt want to idle very well and when it does it only idles at 500rpm and acts like it has a miss but when it is at around 1500-5500 it seems like nothing is wrong with it.

what would cause it not to idle??

btw EVERYTHING is stock besides cam

what size motor you have in there? with those TPI motors I've heard plenty about how with some of those mods they're rough at idle. in fact i've seen some of the 5.0 mustangs that are the same way. I'd say it's the cam and some people just live with that. all up to what you want.
