Post My paint is finally done!!!!

Finally after about a month of detailing touch ups, painting, and fitting the hood everything is done. Took some quick pictures with a crappy camera but it did the trick. I'll get some better pics later!

Well, its kind of a custom colour... I told the guy I wanted somehting like a Ferarri red or Viper red. Then I say the new Dodge sport truck with flame red paint. I told the shop about the flame red and that I didn't want any orange in it. Thus the custom colour!

BTW... it's an '87

Looks great! Just curious as to what gauges are in the pillar? Did you go to McRoberts?

Yeah I did go to McRoberts! How did you know?

Right now all I've got is an Air/Fuel ratio gauge. I think I'll be adding in a fuel preasure guage in the second hole.

Wow that is very nice man! Big thumbs up. Are those just polished 87 Iroc wheels? I wish mine looked like that.

Your buddy with the Black 91Z. Is that a 1LE 5spd or have blue stripes?

Not trying to be nosey but what did a paint job like that run you? How much, if any, body work did the car need. I've got a 92 RS I'm ready to paint and was just curious. i was figuring around a grand for paint.

CNCREG; I know a guy that owns a body shop so I got a pretty good deal. I had an insurance claim from a little sraching accident when my car was parked for the winter and I through another thousand on top. In total I htink it would be around $2200 CDN. I had every dent pulled, all rust removed, hood fitted, and even got the stress cracks fixed.

Z28ROC; Yeah, those are just polished '87 IROC's. They're kind of dirty right now. I might get them re-polished or just upgreade to some 17 maybe 18 IROC's.

Bristol: Actually, its a 92 with all black paint. Its just a plain zed with a 350 and 4L60. It's about just as fast as my lil 305.

I have a few buddies that would love to line up with the Viper. Believe me these cars are worthy of a Viper race.

It's so wierd when you hear of people remembering your car from a couple years back. Great feeling though. Were about in Richmond are you?
