Unhappy My 305tbi RS keeps dieing on me

I need some help. My 92 RS keeps dieing on me when I'm at a stop light. It does it usually after been running for a few minutes. Also my oil pressure guage shows my oil pressure really low when my temp guage shows the temp close to 220. Any one have any suggestions?

Have you checked the idle control on the TBI unit? That and the TPS. Also, how low an oil pressure at 220 deg and what is the ambient air temp? What kind of oil?

Well I'm not too bright when it comes to cars, but I do know the oil pressure floats on the guage and around 220 it barely rises above the red. When the car dies you can feel it sort of kick like you can tell it's goin to. It won't die if I stick it in neutral or if I have my foot on the gas. Any suggestions?

when was the last time the car was tuned up? have you checked your cooling system lately? 220degrees is really hot, your car shoudl hang aroudn 180-190 normally.
does the oil pressure go up when you hit the gas? when was the last oil change?
i suggest you check your oil and coolant levels to get started. if they are ok check to see if your water pump is flowing good and test your oil pressure sending unit.

later

Yeah I had a reliable mechanic tell me it was the sender and the sensor. They both can cause the related problem of the car dieing and my oil pressure showing low.
