Motor

ok was thinking of getting a core 350 motor from the junk yard like i was told but i wanted to know what is a resonable price to pay for it? i dont want to get ripped off and i wanted to know whats the biggest engine i could fit into my engine bay ? and could i find that engine in a junl yard as well ?

you could fit a big block in a 3rd gen with a little work. and of course any small block should fit.

i have seen slightly used 350tpi motors with all the wiring and everything for about 1000$ so i would imagine it would be much cheaper than that from a junk yard.

You should expect to pay just a few hundred dollars for a good 350 block. Lets say $300 or less, from a Junk yard.

About the biggest engine you can fit in the engine bay; you CAN fit a big block in, just hope you have a Lift to get under the car to do plugs. Its not easy as a buddy of mine has a 3rd gen with a 468 in it.

The best bet is going with a big cube small block like a 383 or a 396. Anything bigger bets exotic and costly like the 454ci Small block Chevy being offered now.
