Brand new there $1250 with fuel rails i beleive, witch you have to have the fuel rails that come on the mini ram in order for them to work, you cant you your stock ones. Used mini rams normally sell for about $1000 they hold there value. They are well worth the money if you have the space in the engine for air that the mini ram will push in. I dont think it would be worth the time or money to put that mini ram on a 305 though.

then the mini ram woud deffinitly be worth the money, the super ram is a good intake to, pain in the azz to install but is a great set up. I would highly recomend this intake to you. Along with some afr heads. Thats an almost garrantee to be in the 11's.

I know what you mean about the super ram being a pain in the azz ! I've messed with the super ram alot but never have touched a mini ram. The heads on the 383 are made by World Products, I believe.

Bigger RPM numbers are being aachieved through using the Stealth Ram, I hear that the MINIram cuts out at about 6200 the stealth will go closer to 6600 that is the top fellas. Unless you want to go with a 4barrel carb intake with a multiport fuel injection a plenum adapter and a big TB. then you can go over 7k

My mini ram pulls great up to 6500-6600 then it basically cuts off, you dont want to push the motor past that anyways. The difference in money between the mini ram and super ram are kinda of a big margin, mr you will spend bout $1500 totall. Super ram will cost you no less then $2k with tb, runners, plenum, base, gaskets.

Mini ram and super rams are pritty much a was of money to put on the 305 because it will feed the engine usless air. The 305 isnt starving for air that much with the stock intake, but if you put a mini ram or super ram on it would be pritty much over kill. You can do it you will just be spending more money then its worth. I dont think it would benifit the 305, you loose low end torque but you get it back in the higher rpms if you have the engine that needs the air, the 305 doesnt need the air like a 350/383/400/406 would need. Anyways that just IMO. Many people still put the miniram on a 305. But it just doesnt pay off.

Super ram is terrible, the gasket and all, I have seen many at the track sucked in and stuff, did this guy not read the thread HE IS ASKING CAUSE HE IS BUILDING A 383 COMBO. miniram or the similar looking stealth ram, I would choose the stealth ram I have a link to a guys photo page of his stealth ram sorry i cannot think of his screen name..

I have used the Superram for years and never had a problem with it. If you slot the bolts, use your fingers to put it in place, you could use a small flat bladed screwdriver to turn it till it stops then turn it a little more with a 12 point, 1/4 in wrench. An alternative method is to drill out the threads on the runners and the manifold, helicore the runners and screw the bolts down from the top. The first way, I do an R&R in about 4 hours. 2nd way in about 2 hours.

Ucantcme57. What do you mean "sucked in and stuff"? The runner to manifold gasket is as solid as I have seen and so it the TB to plenum gasket and ditto for the runner to plenum gasket. The only flimsy one is the lid gasket and if you have that problem, you did not screw the lid down tight. That is kinda of a reach but the best I can come up with since I have used it since 93 and never had such an occurance.

SR is great for low end torque. It can be hogged out for even better power levels but it is ready to run out of the box. IMO.

Yes I was talking about the lid gasket, seen a many of them at the track that got sucked in, but many of them used the huge table top space as a place to put a huge bag of ice, the water may have softened the gasket up and then let go. But in Milan, MI I have seen a few of the lid gaskets sucked in. With a fully balanced motor you can run it up as far as the cam will allow, if your looking for serious power you need a power band like that. soemthing from 2500-7500 or so.
