Mileage affecting decision
Car
I would run a CARFAX report if you can, it might show if there are any problems.
I would check out the usual items as well, fluids, exhaust tips for oil burning or a heavy rich condition, A/C, heat...
Good Luck

I see you haven't been following my new cars lol
200k+ miles is a lot dont get me wrong, but there are plenty of cars out there with that amount or more and are still kickin, though dont be surprised if you have to put some money into it, and at the mileage its already at, you should get it for a steal of a price, possibly under $1000 depending on the seller.

... So you have a Sunbird now, is it a 3.1L by chance? I don't see why a higher mileage engine that is in good tune can't run close to where it did from the factory. Granted, the motor may not have as good of "sealing" and some worn top end parts that might cause it to lose a little compression and therefore, some power. Long story short, the motor could be running really well, or it could be a pile of junk, you'll never know unless you look. When I used to work at the GM dealer, I would deal with cars that had over 200K on the odometer and you would never have been able to tell. Then there would be some cars that only were a few years old and had 30K on the clock and were in terrible shape.

But why yes, yes it is a 3.1. Oh and a 5spd too
It's got Energy Suspension poly all the way around, RActive strut tower brace, Koni adjustable Yellow's, spec 3 clutch, hi-flow cat, and it's soon to have the v-rate, 245/50/16's from my old 5spd Grand Prix (which i KNOW you remember
). It's sweet. Has 240k on it. Lights them up first thru second just fine, chirps third. Handles like a dream. Light as ****, coupled with the higher-output 3.1, it turns great. Plus I get around 34+mpg w/ the cruise set at 78mph on the highway. Anywhere from 22-26mpg city driving
I will take a quick video.. hold on
