Make my ride smoother

I just recently got my 90 Iroc and the ride is really bumpy and stiff. What can I do to make the ride better and not feel EVERY pothole i hit. I can live with the ride quality as it is now, but any improvement to make it smoother and less bumpy would be a really big plus. Thanks guys.

performance shocks in the back, performance struts in the front, i hear subframe connectors help on the rigididy of the frame. its a camaro so it'll never ride like a caddy, these cars are meant to grip the road as much as possible to handle the torque so theres not a whole lot you can do.

New stock spec springs and shocks/struts would probably make a world of difference if you're wanting the a smooth ride...performance oriented parts are going to be oriented towards handling and away from ride quality.

If GM intended to do 100 things with your car, ride harshness was number 100 on the list.

Put in the softest springs you can find, along with struts and shocks valved for the 6 cylinder cars. Put on the smallest swaybars you can find. Ditch the 16" wheels and tires. Instead, try some 14" steelies from an early Sport Coupe, with 70 series tires. EVEN THEN it will still ride a little harsh.

People who buy a IROC and complain about the ride...

People who buy an Excursion and complain about the gas mileage...

People who buy a Corvette and complain about lack of seating and storage...

People who buy a Honda and complain about lack of power...

All fit in the same category

Its a characteristic of the vehicle. If you don't like it, get a Cadillac.
