Major TPI Guys Look inside!! Need Help!

i am building a 355 with tuned port injection and it is taking like three or four time of turning the key to get it started. Why doesnt it start the first time? Ive have had alot of LT1s and LS1s but not to good with the TPI motor yet. Any good specs like fuel pressure and what timming should be at what spark plugs to run and so on would be a great help.

Here are the specs of what i am building with:
Tuned Port Injection off 89 corvette all stock except bigger runners
355 small block out of a 69 camaro
Comp cam 12-268-4 224/230 with a 114 LSA
Heads: 882 Casting Gm Heads Milled with 202/194 Valves
Ing: MSD Dist. with MSD Wires and MSD SS blaster coil

My 1989 MAF car would do that. What I found that worked for my car was to start the car with a couple of revolutions and turn off the key. Then start it up again and it would fire right off.

Do you have a custom chip? You might need more start up fuel programed into the chip. My 406 took alot of fuel to start right away. It was probably one of the hardest things to get right when we were tuning my car. Too much it would flood out to little it would crank forever.

On the stock 89 Prom, crank fuel is turned off for the first 8 segments in the program, that might equate to 4 revolutions.
I filled in all 8 areas and mine now starts on one revolution when it's cold or been sitting.
After it's been running, sometimes it takes 2 to 4 revolutions before it fires up again, not sure why, but I don't really mind.

right click and select view image to see it in full res.

Many vehicles do this from the factory to build oil pressure prior to firing, Buick especially. I was going to say, that's a lot of air for a factory chip, w/o at least upsizing the injectors..
