Wow Chris, you make me feel old cause I recall reading most of those articles when they were fresh....

Oh, and did you catch the price of Hot Rod in 1987? $2.25 now that is what I call a cheap education

Thumbs up

Mike I know what you mean. I have all those mags plus more in boxes in the basement and garage. I have car mags going back to the early 70's. I have been into muscle cars going back to when I was a 6 year old kid. i read every mag I could growing up on muscle cars. The movie Thunder Road with Robert Mitchum was what got me hooked. I think it was made in 59 or 60. After that I was a car freak for life. The movie was so cool for the time. He was running moon shine and the feds would chase him in his built ford. They had a clamp on the front bumper and would ram the back of the cars they were chasing and it would lock on his bumper. He had a release he would pull and all they would get is his bumper. Also had the oil slick he would lay down and a quick release for the moonshine tank in chase he could not get away. He had a hookup that would drop nails out the back of the car also and give the guys chasing him flat tires when they were chasing him. He would flip the switch and the moonshine would dump on the ground if he could not get away. I was 6 years old when I saw that and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. This was 4 years before James Bond and Goldfinger car. I am a old guy now as you know and still love muscle cars to this day and it all started with a movie.

I have these to add, but they're not IROC specific:
