LT1 block vs L98 block

As the title implies, are there any major differences between these two blocks? Things like sensor locations or any thing like that. Pretty much just looking for the external differences.

Just the block!(no heads, intake, ect.)

Could someone theoreticly(spelling?) build a TPI using the stock sensors and wiring from an L98 on an LT1 block?

Im not sure, but I think the reverse flow only affected the heads/pump. Gen I SBC had coolant going into the block then the heads, with the reverse flow cooling the heads first. I may be wrong, but I would think the LT1 block itself doesn't have many major differences.

LT1's have a hole for the waterpump driveshaft assembly on the front.

The water passages where the head bolts up are different due to the reverse cooling.
There is no provision for a mech fuel pump on the LT1 either.

Other than that, they are pretty much the same.

The optispark doesn't change anything on the block. It bolts to the front of the timing cover, which is different from a Gen I sbc.

To the original question, no, it won't work. Just find a 350 roller block from a TBI pickup, they are a dime a dozen.
