i know that i will need springs for the stock heads to handle the cam. my question is what else will i need? btw the cam is .492 lift.

You will need to get the heads machined for larger diameter valvesprings. I would also recommend new guides and seals at the same time. You should also invest in a set of roller rockers while you're at it...

Otherwise your car is speed density and you may need a custom PROM burned for the combo.
