I think, but dont quote me that if the TB is from a 93 car it will work, but if it is from another year it will not have a link for a kickdown cable on it.

Actually summit sent me a LT1 TB when i had my 89 iroc 350. The water jacket that bolts up to the bottom is routed differently on each one and it blows water everywhere when u start the car.

Talking YES YOU CAN!

Actually you can modify the lt1 intake to fit into a thirdgen. Go to http://www.lt1intake.com/services.htm, they can show you how or you can buy one from them. I am doing this or a TPIS mini-ram.

Good Luck

If you want to bypass the waterjacket at the bottom of the TB on a for a LT1 just do not connect the lines.

Take the lines and connect them together so they bypass the TB, most LT1 guys do it anways so it does not heat the charge of air passing through the TB.

He's not talking about an LT1 intake manifold, he's talking about an LT1 throttle body. It will physically bolt up, but the throttle cable is different, and as said above, only the 93 will have the provision for the 700R4 transmission cable.

Do a search on this forum, this topic has been discussed several times.

'89-up throttle cables will work with LT1 TBs. I'm doing it right now, and so are my friends. If you have a pre-89 car, just buy the throttle cable from GM, they're about $15.
