LT1 Stroker TT into 85 T/A

Well, my original plan was to do a 4.1L Stage II GN motor for the car, but just too much hasle/cost, so I've decided to go with a TT LT1 383 stroker. Has anyone tried the swap, just the LT1 into a third gen? How difficult is it? And what is required? I can get the LT1 front Suspension, will it swap and will the be easiest?

Good deal! You will probably be getting a few emails every now and then with some ? when I start the swap. I'm planning on doing the a/c delete, so I can use the third gen k-member and mounts right?

Yep...should go in just fine.

I need to update that write-up I did...but for the most part everything's still accurate.

I'm used to getting questions. I would venture to say that I've answered quite a few hundred e-mails asking LT1 swap questions, over the last 3 years.

the lt1 swap was easier then i thought it would be. It was worth all the time and money to do it too. It would be nice to be able to afford the 383 tt part but im very happy with my stock lt1. I put it in my iroc that is really close to mint condition and i love it so much more now that it has an lt1. Good luck and if you have any questions the post, there are about 5 of use that have done the swap and can help you out. later
