Low Restance Plug Wires???
I was messing around with my new multi meter today and I found some interesting results with it. The resistance of my plug wires range from 100 to 150 ohms. I was under the impression that a plug wire should have somewhere between 6000 and 10000 ohms. Could this damage any of my ignition components from the increased current flow? I just got the car not too long ago and these were the wires that came on it. They are pretty thick black wires that say annihilator on them. Anyone have any ideas? And its not the meter because I checked with my buddys fluke just to make sure.

those are holley,s aftermarket performance wires. they are probably pretty good although i dont know anyone that uses them. i cant imagine less resistance ever being a bad thing in this case. probably have a hotter spark in which you may be able to use a wider gap in your plugs and whatnot but i dont know much in this area so i wont lead you in the wrong direction.
hope this helps.

Those Holley wires are great. I switched from MSD's 8.5's and my idle smoothed out a bunch. And the MSD's weren't very old either. The Holley wires are cheaper than MSD, are 9mm-compared to 8.5mm, and they are made by Delphi systems. Top quality hardware, but new to the market so not that well known.
